💛 “What comes from the heart reaches the heart.” 💛

#TRUTH!

From my own very first experience with Pilates, which was a huge MAT class at my health club, I sensed my teacher’s passion. Long story short, she has shared this with me through many, many private lessons. Private lessons, of course, are the BEST way to learn Pilates, for sure.  In fact, it is the most economical way to meet your goals!  Then, take what you learn in your private lesson to your home practice or group class, but ABSolutely go deeper into your practice with private lessons. If you learn ONE thing a week consistently over time, really OWN it…. just think about the changes you’ll make over time!  #Truth!

What I realize over and over again, is that Pilates is “good for the body,” because your HEART muscle benefits! Joe Pilates wrote:

“These exercises induce the heart to pump strong and steadily.”

PILATES IS NOT STRETCHING!

“As a result, the bloodstream carries and discharges from your system more of the accumulated debris created by fatigue. [Pilates] exercises drive pure, fresh blood to every muscle fiber of our bodies, particularly to the very important capillaries which ordinarily are rarely ever fully stimulated once we reach adulthood.”

MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!

“Pilates is movement and movement heals!”

“The result is that the organs of the body, including the important sweat glands, receive the benefit of clean fresh blood carried to them by this rejuvenated bloodstream.”

PILATES IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEART!

“In addition…note that all the exercises are performed in a sitting or reclining position. This is done to relieve your heart from undue strain as well as to take advantage of the more normal, original position of the visceral organs of your body when in such positions.”

GET A HAPPY HEART!

“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure.”

No matter what, my own heart knows and believes that what goes around, comes around. That is why it was so rewarding to receive messages right after all the planning, preparation, and providing a unique experience at our studio. Pat Guyton brought her own perspective of natural movement through her expertise of years of teaching Pilates and knowledge of anatomy.  Here’s what our students had to say:

“I wanted to tell you that this mornings class was wonderful and informative.  Thank you for providing that opportunity.”  – Beth Su

“Just wanted to say I am so thankful for all that I learned in the Franklin workshop and the two master classes yesterday. There are so many new things that will help me progress in my pilates work. I’m so excited for my private lesson tomorrow! This weekend must have been a ton of effort to pull together, so I wanted to tell you how valuable it was and to thank you for making the effort to expose us all to Pat’s wisdom.” – Cindy

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!

IT IS APPRECIATED MORE THAN YOU KNOW!

All in all, learning Pilates is a lifelong journey.  So is your LIFE.  Pilates for a healthy heart to keep you alive and energized your WHOLE life.  Just look at the average older person.  Are they open, upright, and alive, ready to face whatever life brings?  Are you young and want to stay that way?  Remember what Joe also said,

“If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old.

If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.”

I know my goal is a healthy, happy, and balanced life!  What’s yours?  My own practice of  Pilates and teaching Pilates brings me SO MUCH JOY!  Truly, Pilates is my Happy Place.  The fact that I get to share that with all of you, a true gift.  Thank you, and in case no one else has told you today……

💛 WE LOVE YOU! 💛
