Are you happy?

This Spring, let’s focus on the “More From Your Core” part of the slogan! There is a double meaning here. Yes, at TriPilates we focus on core, but how about our heart muscle? Our hearts need exercise and oxygen as much the rest of our body, perhaps more than others. Healthy heart, healthy life!

“Contrology exercises purify the blood in the bloodstream and whip it into instant action with the result that the organs of the body, including the important sweat glands, receive the benefit of clean fresh blood carried to them by the rejuvenated bloodstream. Observe the effects that Contrology exercises have on your heart action.”
– 1945, Joe Pilates, Return to Life, p. 22

My original experience with Pilates was subtle. In the middle of almost any exercise, my core feels warm with an intense feeling of something really deep. Without realizing it at the time, Pilates has helped me over the years to connect to my true Spirit, passion, to my heart. How?

“True heart control follows correct breathing which simultaneously reduces heart strain, purifies the blood, and develops the lungs.”
– Joe Pilates, p.22

Yes, the breath. “Above all, learn the art of correct breathing.” “Breathing is the first act of life, and the last.”

The intent of every single movement in every single Pilates exercise is to facilitate breathing. When we are breathing, our whole body is connected, more relaxed, open, full, strong, courageous, confident, authentic, willing, nourished. Feed your heart at TriPilates.

Here are a few of the physical rewards of the practice of Pilates:

  • Improved Posture
  • Self-Awareness

Come feel how YOUR body can feel this HAPPY!
and
YOUR HEART

Most of you understand that the true meaning of TriPilates is not just the cute double meaning of “come on and try it! Be happy with us!” It has ALWAYS been our intention to put our students in touch with Spirit, your energy, your passion, what you love to do, who you are, whatever that means to you. In other words, “more from your core.”

“To Thine Own Self Be True.”
– Shakespeare

What is calling your name this Spring, the season of new beginnings?

This is the time of year to feel for what’s really in your heart, what are your wishes and desires, what direction would you like to go? The practice of Pilates can take you there!
