Thank you for being with me in 2023, it was an exciting end and fast start to 2024!
Many followed along in guessing the “theme for 2024” – it relates so well to the CORE VALUES in my heart every single time I teach, reach out, help, share, and connect to more students and friends! I LOVED being a stay-at-home Mom and realized as they started to grow up that I LOVE being of service (had been on various committees and boards for years all while nursing and raising the littles), LOVED how I felt doing Pilates and began another journey beyond my wildest dreams. An osteopath asked me to work for him selling online acupuncture tests (very avant-garde 20 years ago!), but it would involve traveling and I was NOT willing to leave my family for days on end. My response was, “Thank you, but whatever I do, it had to fit these parameters more completely:
HEALTH/WELLNESS
MAKE MY OWN HOURS
SERVICE TO OTHERS”
Fast forward some twenty years and here we are – entering 2024 with a beautiful new theme that threads in perfectly to those values: CORE CONNECTION. In 2023 we welcomed MANY new students, found time to swim over 100 miles, catapulted a second virtual business, hosted several open houses at the studio and at home, celebrated birthdays, helped Mom move and celebrate her birthday. I am grateful for the energy that both my Pilates practice and my genes have given me! Faith, family, friends, love and service, courage and resilience will ALWAYS come first, and my experience is that if we feel good in our bodies, we feel good in our lives and will help our communities and the world at large.
Even Joe Pilates said, “Not one man can do the first five of my exercises correctly, how do you expect to have World Peace!”
So here we are, jumping into the New Year with a full schedule, headed into the unknown about 2024. One thing is for SURE: we look forward to connecting with you more in 2024.
